Mrs. Alexis Mattson handpicked junior Nichole Burke as the Student of the Week for the Science Department.

“She’s just a quiet individual, and she just does good quality work. She’s… she’s just that kid,” said Mattson.

Outside of school, Nichole takes light in many different aspects of life. She enjoys being around her favorite people and likes to practice soccer.

“In my free time I like to spend time with my family and friends…and play soccer,” said Nichole.

Despite the different changes COVID has caused, Nichole still enjoys coming to school, her favorite class being Forensic Science.

“My favorite class is forensic science because it is fun and you get hands-on experience with what forensic scientists do,” said Burke.

Being recognized as a student of the week is new to Nichole.

“I am excited because I haven’t been nominated for Student of the Week before,” said Burke.
