On Tuesday the Lowry JV volleyball team faced Elko in their final home game. It was also special because it was their breast cancer awareness game as well. The previous time these two teams met Elko came up on top. This time the Bucks had them at home and were not going to let that happen again.

In the first set, both teams were off to a good start with some good hits. Lowry managed to get a jump on Elko and go on to win the set 25-21. In a three-set game, the Bucks were in a good position to finish Elko off.

At the start of the second set, the Bucks were still having their way with Elko. Getting all-around good play from everyone and winning some rallies the Lady Bucks won the set and match 25-12.

Carly Bell said,” Our team really wanted to beat Elko but we didn’t want our emotions to overpower our performance on the court. We played hard and kept our spirits high, we earned a win and all the girls did great.”

The Bucks didn’t disappoint their school and pulled off a dominating performance. Their season is almost over so this win was a great way to get their confidence up for their final games of the season against Ely and Wendover.
