Lowry is ready to welcome Mr. Byron Jeppsen as the new hire in the language department. Jeppsen is coming into Lowry as the new Spanish teacher. Jeppsen is excited to come to Lowry to begin a new chapter in his life while revisiting an old one.

“I have really enjoyed teaching at French Ford, but chose to come back to Lowry because it’s a great school and I’m proud to be a Lowry Buckaroo,” said Jeppsen.

Jeppsen began his teaching career in 1998 at Lowry as a Social Studies teacher. In 2004, Jeppsen left Lowry and began working at HCSD District Office and Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School in Gardnerville as a vice-principal. In 2007 Jeppsen returned to Lowry and took over the position as vice-principal for six years, one year as vice-principal at Winnemucca Junior High School, and three years as principal at Grass Valley Elementary School.

For the last five years, he has been at French Ford teaching 5th and 6th graders and will return to Lowry for the 2022-2023 school year.
