Athlete of the Week: Mitch Pollock

Senior quarterback Mitch Pollock of the Lowry varsity football team has been awarded Athlete of the Week.

In the regular season’s last game for the Buckaroos, he threw two touchdown passes against Churchill County. He also managed to throw over 150 yards.

Pollock shows his attributes as a good leader by supporting his team and getting everyone pumped up for each game. Pollock is a positive player and helps the team all-around.

In Lowry’s first playoff win in 18 years, Pollock threw a touchdown pass for the first touchdown of the game. The touchdown he had scored was made on a difficult broken play, but he managed to find a way to throw the touchdown for the Buckaroos. Pollock had five attempted passes. Of those five, three were complete. He ended the game with 33 yards in the air. Pollock also managed to gain 16 yards on the ground.

Pollock will be playing a key role in Lowry’s next playoff game against Moapa Valley in Las Vegas.
