Boy’s basketball making changes to achieve goals for the season

Last year the varsity boy’s basketball team lost to Boulder City at the state tournament. They were one game away from playing for a state title.

“It was a good game down to the last-second shot,” said head coach Lee Bosch but this year they plan to win State.

There are seven returning players: David Eastman, Danny Westfall, Joel Mendoza, Terrell Messerly, Andrew Stephen, Brandon Eldodt, and Zebidiah Teichert. These seven players will bring experience and depth to an already exceptional roster.

“Some goals for this season are to take it one game at a time,” said Bosch. They are working on a different offensive approach this year, “we have a lot of very talented kids so we need to get them separated from the pack and let them do their stuff.”

Of course, Bosch would like to get a state championship but coaches focus on detail. Senior David Eastman has a slightly different outlook; he simply wants to improve over last year’s finish by winning state.
