The Lowry High School dance teams hosted their annual junior girls dance camp the week of January 24.
With an age range from 3 years to 12 years, the dance team had an assortment of participants. Sign-ups began on Tuesday and practiced started the next day to teach the girls the fundamentals of dance and an age appropriate routine.
The Varsity Dance Team taught the younger age of girls a catchy routine to a mix of ‘Rockin’ Robin’. The Junior Varsity team taught the older age group a dance to a mix of the song ‘Bad Girls’.
After practicing for the entire week the teams performed at the junior varsity girls’ basketball game on Saturday, January 24.
Varsity dance team captain, Rachael Studebaker said, “Dance Camp is always a lot of fun, we love teaching dance technique and seeing the girls enjoy it too.
