Where are you going to college?
I attend Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa.

What is your major?
My major is Exercise and Sports Studies with an emphasis on Sports Administration and a minor in Psychology.

What is your favorite part about college so far?
My favorite part about college so far is the fact that I have been able to meet so many new people and that I have been forced to grow up and learn how to live on my own.

Why?
It’s good to get a sense of what life will be like out in the “real world” after I graduate.

What is your least favorite part?
My least favorite part about my college experience so far is the distance from home.

Why?
I’m not able to go home for the weekend like a lot of my friends do, so that has been pretty difficult, but I’ve been able to manage this problem so far. It also helps that I have my brother and sister here with me.

What do you miss most about Lowry?
There are two things that I really miss about Lowry. I miss seeing all my friends every day and I miss all the great moments that came along with sports.

Are you a part of any clubs or teams?
I am a manager for our volleyball team.

If so, what is your favorite part?
My favorite part about being a manager for the volleyball team is the fact that I get to be around a sport that I love every single day with a great group of girls.

What are your future plans?
Well, considering that I am only a freshman I don’t like to look too far into the future, but I plan on getting my Sports Administration degree and then going on to graduate school and eventually coaching at the collegiate level.

Any advice for this year’s graduating class?
To this year’s graduating class I would say, “live life in the moment.” By the end of your senior year, everyone is just ready to get away and go to college. I just want to let you know, that no matter how much you may want to just leave and never come back, you WILL miss it.

What do you miss most about living in Winnemucca?
The thing that I miss most about living in Winnemucca is how everyone, for the most part, is so supportive of each other. I also miss home-cooked meals.

What do you miss most about being in “The Brand”?
I could always count on going to class every day and laughing nonstop. It didn’t matter if we had deadlines coming up or not; we always managed to have fun.
