From post to point guard

On Saturday, January 24, varsity boys’ basketball defeated Truckee.

The team changed their defense by playing the entire game “man to man,” which is one player on one team guarding one player on the other team. Lowry led the game with 11 points, which ended the game 61-50.

This was the first game the team played without David Eastman, a starting player who was kept from playing due to an ankle injury. Danny Westfall, who was originally a post, replaced Eastman as point guard. Westfall also lead the scoring of the game with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

“We want to be number one going into zone,” said Danny Westfall.
