Girl’s varsity soccer comes back to defeat Vaqueros

Lowry came out with intensity attitude for one of its last games of the season against the Fernley Vaqueros. They played hard and showed some great playoff potential.

The start of the game showed that Fernley wasn’t here to mess around, but Lowry answered with a few swift moves and some fancy footwork. In the end, the girls won with an impressive corner kick goal by Allison Walker and a swift goal from Sydnie Sundahl. The final score was 2-0.

“We did phenomenally. We played the best game we played all season. The girls came out and played whistle to whistle on offense and defense,” said coach Chris Entwistle. “It was a top-notch and mark-to-mark game and we’re going to fight for fourth place at the zone playoffs. The freshman stepped up, the seniors came out and played well but the big thing is they had fun.”

The fast-paced game was another impressive win for the Lowry Buckaroos.
