JV Boys soccer drops two games Saturday

The JV boy’s soccer team had a doubleheader on their home field for Homecoming. The Bucks played Fallon for the first time and were defeated.

The first goal scored was by Lowry, but unfortunately, it was in their own goal. Fallon’s defensive line was strong; keeping the ball mostly on Lowry’s half of the field. There were many breakaways but the pressure was too much for the boys as they fumbled and kicked directly at the keeper.

At halftime, the score was 3-0 with Fallon in the lead. Lowry worked harder in the second half, taking many shots but missing each one. The final score was 5-1, a win for Fallon. The Bucks scored their goal on a penalty kick for a handball.

Their second game was against Sage Ridge, a co-ed team. The JV team had previously defeated Sage Ridge, 3-5.

Sophomore Steven Cholico stated that the team “lacked communication. After the goal was scored our confidence was shattered. We definitely could’ve played harder.”

Proving that being at home didn’t add an advantage, the Bucks lost 1-0.

Lowry JV soccer has another double header this weekend.
