The boys of the Lowry golf team started the season with the idea that they were going to state. With many new players, most of them being underclassmen, the team was looking at almost an entirely different team than the last year. As the weeks continued on, the boys improved daily, but every week the same players were competing at tournaments.

The players that made it to state were Cole Erquiaga, Chris Dendary, Josh Shaver, Chris Mendoza, Ethan Gray, Jacob Jackich. The boys won State collectively as a team. Chris Mendoza had the highest individual ranking out of the Lowry team placing fourth overall. Lowry had a combined score of 806 and the second-place team was 32 strokes behind. Lowry boy’s golf last won a state title in 2010, winning this year bring the total up to 11 state titles.
