With all the craziness that’s happened this year, it’s easy to forget that there are still many things to look forward to. This upcoming school year Lowry High will be welcoming one of its own as a teacher.

Jesse Zamudio has returned to Lowry as a biology teacher.

“Jesse Zamudio will be taking over for Calvin Connors as our new Biology teacher,” said Ray Parks Mr. Calvin Connors Will now teach Health and PE.”

Mr. Zamudio resided in Spring Creek where he taught and coached before he decided to make the switch to the old halls of Lowry.

“We decided to move to be closer to family and to raise our daughters here. Winnemucca has always been home,” explained Zamudio.

Zamudio is excited to return to the halls of Lowry to teach Biology with some of his old teachers and some new faces but won’t be coaching, not this year at least.

“I’m very excited to be teaching Biology,” said Zamudio. “It’ll be fun to work with a new team and fresh faces. It’ll be fun to get to know them in a different environment. I’m not planning on coaching. I want to spend more time with my family. But we’ll definitely be watching and cheering on the Bucks.”
