The Lowry JV Softball team went to Lovelock with optimistic thoughts as they prepared to play the varsity softball team.

Sophomore Taylor Schwartz stated that playing a varsity team would, “be a challenge, but a good challenge.”

The girls were confident about winning their game. Lowry JV Softball ended up beating Lovelock by four runs, 7-3.

Coach Katy Schwartz was proud of the team’s victory. The team didn’t get on the bats quick, but many players had good hits.

Freshman Kylee McClellan said, they “had a slow start, but we had a good pick up.”

Sophomores Taylor Schwartz and JaeCee Munger had some of the best hits of the game.

Their next games will take place at the Fallon tournament on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24. The JV Softball team will be playing Fallon, Fernley, and Dayton.
