The Lowry JV girl’s basketball team has three players this season that have experience at the JV level and can guide the new players along with the four new freshmen.

The four freshmen that made the JV team this season are Natalie Norcutt, Rachel Sigurdson, Jasmin Landa, and Taylor Schwartz. The three returning players from last season are Paige Thiede, Carli Evatz, and Macy Alvarez. Lowry has not changed much since last season, running the same offenses which are the motion and flex offenses.

“I really like the flex offense that we had a lot of success with last year,” Mendiola said.

According to Mendiola, they are going to work very hard on defense and hopefully score a lot of points off of their defense.

“I don’t feel like such an underdog anymore since I’m not a freshman on JV,” said sophomore Paige Thiede.

Also a returning player from last season Macy Alvarez states that what she wants to get out of this season is to win more games than last season. The Lowry JV girl’s basketball team will open their season on December 2 in Lovelock.
