The school year at Lowry is coming to an end but students are still hard at work. A few students, in particular, are this month’s Students of the Month.

For the month of May, Lowry’s Freshman Student of the month is Luis Cruz. Mr. Don Walton nominated Luis for having a positive attitude. Mr. Walton said that Luis struggles with his classwork, yet remains positive. “He comes to class early, asks for help, and puts forth a fair amount of effort.”

Sophomore class student of the month is Tanner Schmidt. Ms. Corrine Hernandez nominated Tanner. Tanner is quite a student and a hard worker who completes all classwork and loves to help others. “Tanner goes beyond the requirements and is the student that everyone wants to be in a group with.”

Once again nominated by Ms. Hernandez was junior student of the month Bryan Cholico. Bryan is a very hard worker and a great leader. He puts forth all the effort needed to go beyond the requirements given to him. He displays positive behavior and attitude. “Bryan is an excellent listener and very courteous. He also displays the utmost respect for his fellow students and peers.”

Mrs. Janet Kennedy nominated a very deserving person for senior class student of the month. Rebecca Givens was that nominee. “Becca works very hard for the senior class. She is willing to spend whatever time she needs to help make the senior class successful. She has never complained and works hard and successfully.
