Movie Review: ‘Iron Man 2’

After the much loved “Iron Man” that was released in 2008, everyone has been anticipating the sequel with high expectations. “Iron Man 2” premiered on May 8 all over the nation. Starring Robert Downey Jr. as the egotistical Tony Stark or Iron Man.

The movie opens with the introduction of Stark being the Iron Man. He is loved by everyone even though he does not possess any kind of stereotypical, role model attributes. He also believes that he has created world peace.

Thinking he is indestructible he goes about his lifestyle living on the edge, but he then discovers that there some out there who want to take down his glory, such as Ivan Vanko who plays the Marvel character, Whiplash.

The movie has a plot that can be followed by every crowd even if you have not seen the first Iron Man, which I have not. It was enjoyable and entertaining from start till finish.

There were many recognizable actors and actresses such as Gweneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansen, even Samuel L. Jackson comes in the end for a little foreshadowing of an anticipated, hopeful, upcoming movie. “Iron Man 2” was directed by Jon Favreau, and I recommend it to anyone who wants some entertainment from a promising film.
