The Lowry High School staff member of the month for May is Mrs. Brooks. Though this is only her second year at the high school, she plays a vital role for students at the school working masterfully at her role in the career center.

I myself, along with the entire senior class, would like to sincerely thank this tenacious teacher who has dedicated every minute of her time to aiding us in the college preparatory process. There is no other teacher more deserving of this recognition than Mrs. Brooks.

Her most memorable teaching experience is a daily experience in which she finds something more to love about her job every day. As a student, it is easily evident to see this characteristic in Mrs. Brooks for she acts as a mentor to all of her students.

For her favorite quote Mrs. Brooks replied, “I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me.” The Lord replied, “My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I Carried You.”

Her hero is her father who has been a role model for her, overcoming many obstacles and supporting her as a great parent, friend and businessman. Though she is new to the school, she is a precious asset to all of her students and the staff and a truly remarkable person.
