Macklemore’s new album, The Heist, was released October 9, 2012. In the first couple of days the album was Number 1 on iTunes. Macklemore has been portrayed as one of the best modern rappers. The difference between Macklemore’s music and other popular hip-hop artist is that Macklemore’s music has actual meaning in his lyrics that you can relate to in your own life.

The 15-song album, “The Heist”, contains some of Macklemore’s classic hits such as “Same Love”, “Cant Hold Us”, and “Thrift Shop” as well as new songs like “White Walls” and “A Wake” and many more. All of the background music was performed by all live instruments. “The Heist” contains many talented feature artists such as Mary Lambert, Ryan Lewis, and many more.

Ben Haggerty, also known as Macklemore has a very distinct voice that complements the beat and the feel. His voice almost sounds like he is talking to you sometimes. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis combine for an admirable duo that will send chills down your body when you listen to their music.
