Every year there are plenty of movies that come out over the summer that attract a large audience and bring in millions of dollars. Whether the movies are actually good, or just mindless action, you can expect the theaters to be packed this summer.
The granddaddy of all summer movies will be “The Dark Knight Rises”. The long-awaited conclusion of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy will finally be released this summer. With typical elements of a summer blockbuster, like action, along with the best superhero storyline that has ever touched the face of Hollywood, “The Dark Knight Rises” will be the sure-to-watch movie this summer for all audiences.
You always have to have a funny comedy every summer. From the people who brought you the hilariously offensive “Borat” as well as “Bruno” brings the same style of film with “The Dictator”. Although it is an actual scripted movie this time around, it still has the clueless foreigner that Sacha Baron Cohen depicts so well in every film he is in.
Another film that can expect a large audience is “Prometheus” directed by Ridley Scott. “Prometheus” is another science fiction film from one of the best in the genre. With previous films like “Blade Runner” and “Alien”, you can expect a film with great character development and original sci-fi type of film. Based around the “Alien” franchise, “Prometheus” is a prequel filling the audience in on how the aliens came about. “Prometheus” is definitely a movie worth checking out.
