Last Friday, May 3 varsity softball played Dayton in their first round of playoffs, if they lost this series they would be done for the season, although that was not the case as Lowry won the game on their home field and now they will be moving on to the regional playoffs.

Allison Barron believes the team’s unity helps them perform better.

“We have bonded over the season and we are not just a team, we are a family, and that definitely helped us with the win,” said Barron.

The girls won 11-0, and then 3-1 against Dayton. Evatz expressed her thankfulness for the win and their advancement in playoffs in her statement:

“Our girls worked well together and if we continue to work well together we can hopefully win this weekend’s games and move on to state,” said Carli Evatz.
