Goodbyes are always hard; they are even harder when you've come to grow and cherish those who are leaving. This year like every year, The Brand sets a few students free; this year, we are saying bye to Samm Sharp, Octavio Ruiz, James Roberts and Mackenzie Grady.
Samm was this year's Managing Editor. She spent three years running around writing beautiful stories and you and I became best friends because of this class. All the early mornings and all the time spent after school with you will never be lost on me. I wish you nothing but the best in Tucson.
Octavio is thankful for the experiences he got from the brand and is going to miss taking pictures at all the events. Along with the picture skills Octavio learned a little something from Espy.
“The best lesson that Espy has taught me is in order for you to accomplish your dreams/goals you have to put the time and effort in doing those things... you have to have dedication in the things you do in order for you to become successful,” said Ruiz.
Octavio, I'm so glad we got to know each other more in this class, you still need to work on your driving skills, but the class will miss you.
James, you brought a lot of laughter into the class and provided the class with many odd conversations.
Mackie, you showed so much patience. It was incredible, and I wish you nothing but the best.
Each one of these seniors has spent countless hours working on stories, trying to get everything organized and writing stories. The Brand isn't always the most relaxed class. It takes real-time commitment and dedication; each of these seniors brought precisely that to the table. Each of the seniors has not only touched me but the entire class. Their absences will definitely be missed.
