This past weekend the Lowry Track team went to its rival school and showcased their athletic abilities on a sunny day.
Rachel Sigurdson won her event in the pole vault, and Robert Stepper and Raven Back both won their event in the high jump. Cody Anderson won both throwing events with Sergio Castaneda by his side coming in second. The girl’s 4×100 won with the help of Auriana Criddle, Monique Rodriquez, Taylor LaTray, and Alex Schirrick, Auriana Criddle placed 2nd in hurdles and 200 meters. Alex Schirrick placed 2nd in the 100-meter dash and ended her day well.
The long-distance group also had a good day as well.
“It was a great day and it was great to just be out there competing and having a good time with everyone.” Chris Tyree said.
The next track meet will be in Fallon, Saturday, March 23.
