Senior Riata Kull was chosen as valedictorian for the class of 2013. The valedictorian is the student who has kept the highest cumulative grade point average.
This year, the valedictorian is an excellent student with a passion for learning. She has worked hard since her freshman year to earn this title. She is independent, honest, and caring. She is Riata Rose Kull.
She will deliver the commencement speech at graduation and say “thank you” to all the people that helped her throughout her school career. “Mr. Setzer, Mr. Corak, Mr. Storm, Mr. Beck, and my parents are just a few of the people I want to thank,” said Kull.
Kull also had some advice for all the future valedictorian hopefuls.
“Just keep at it. There are times where you’ll feel like quitting, but you have to be persistent and do what you can,” said Kull.
