Varsity boys beat Sparks

Lowry gets revenge against Sparks on Saturday, January 31.

Lowry varsity boys played against Sparks at Sparks on Saturday. Prior to this game Lowry played Sparks at home and lost. The team felt like they had to win in order to get revenge.

They had excellent chemistry the whole weekend.

“I think we played pretty good as a team and we distributed the ball well,” Jamie Walton said. “We played pretty good defense all four quarters.”

Walton had a game-high 14 points. He was 4 for 5 from the three-point range and had five assists.

Joel Mendoza explained, “We needed to get this win because they came to our home court and beat us so we had to beat them at their place.”

The leading scorers for Lowry were Mendoza with 15, Danny Westfall 9, and Andrew Stephens 7.

Lowry varsity boys ended up dominating Sparks in Sparks, 62-47. They were not taking no for an answer.
