The varsity girl’s basketball team had a big win this past weekend, they beat the West Wendover Wolverines 67-25. The team is now 8-16 on the season overall and 2-6 in the league.
The girls happened to lose the night before to White Pine 47-34. It was a close game until the fourth quarter. The girls haven’t had the season they wanted to have this year but there’s always room for improvement next year.
“Friday night was a tough loss for us. We recovered well Saturday when we beat Wendover. Now we have to prepare to go to Spring Creek on Wednesday and hopefully we can pull the upset and beat them and go to a zone,” said Taylor Schwartz.
The Buckaroos go to Spring Creek on Wednesday for a playoff game. If they win that game they will go to zone on Friday and Saturday at Wooster.
