Varsity girls soccer is defeated by Elko in regional playoffs

The Varsity girl’s soccer team’s season came to an end against Elko during the regional playoff round.

Coming in as the eighth-seeded team, Lowry had to play the first-seeded Elko team on their home field. Lowry was losing 0-2 coming into the half but during the second half of the game, Elko added to their lead to win 6-0 when the final whistle blew.

Despite the loss, striker Monique Rodriquez had some good things to say about her team.

“We played pretty well. For being our last game everyone tried their hardest. It was a good season.” said Rodriquez.

Senior players Adrianna Bautista, Ashley De La Mora, Madeline Mitch, Monica Callarazo, Rikki Hamilton, Martha Vizcarra, Anna Davis, and Savannah Ingram played their final game with Lowry Girls soccer.
