Varsity soccer doubles up Spring Creek

On Tuesday, September 25, the girls’ varsity soccer team grounded Spring Creek 2-1.

“This was a good game,” said midfielder Madison Mayo.

According to Mayo, the defense and goalkeeping positions helped the team, and Alyssa Jones was the best player in the game. “She really played her best. We definitely could improve on keeping formation and passing, but that’s something every soccer team always needs to work on.”

Defense Caitlynn Cooper has a similar tone to Madison’s.

“The game went pretty well, with defense and offense being important,” said Cooper. “We need to improve a little on passing and talking, but we’ll do well on our other games if we keep working like we’ve been doing.”

The team’s next game is on October 15 against White Pine.
