The Lady Buckaroos had quite an amazing season, which was cut short due to the three-game loss against White Pine on April 29 and 30.

“Throughout the season the girls had to overcome a lot of obstacles which just brought us together as a team,” said Lowry second baseman Angie Herrera.

“The season was amazing and these girls are my family, I will miss the seniors greatly, but I still am proud of them,” said coach Jamie Billingsley.

The Lady Buckaroos had a lot of chemistry this year and aimed to win state, which was cut short in a weekend of downed hopes, and cold weather.

“We had to hope and pray that the Elko and Spring Creek games would go with Elko winning all three, which was not the case and we were knocked out,” said right fielder Kelse Diehl.

“I wouldn’t trade my team for anything in this world, we are a family and this season was amazing, I am proud to have been a captain of such a great team,” said center fielder and captain Jenae Neu.

In the end, the season was cut short, but not before the girls got a chance to grow as a family and play for one another.
