The softball Lady Bucks are back and are looking better than ever. They have been practicing and are improving each day.

With a great amount of the players graduating last year, there are only four old faces on the team, with the rest of the team being new.

This year’s captains are Carli Evatz and Jordan Mecham.

“Some of the most promising new players are Kylie McClellan, Taylor Schwartz, and Alyssa Dendary,” said Coach Ty Lucas.

The team began their season with a game on March 7, which they won.

“Last year we were runner-ups for the state, so this year, we are going to give it our all to win it,” said Lucas. “The girls are fun to watch, so more people should come support and encourage.”

This year’s roster includes Shelby McKinnon, Alyssa Dendary, Jorden Raynor, Alexis Coleman, Alyssa Jones, Carli Evatz, Ereanna Higbee, Taylor Schwartz, Kylee McClellan, Jordan Mecham, Allison Barron, and Jaecee Munger.
