Since 2008, when the movie “Iron Man” came out, fans of Marvel comic books and movies have been waiting for the release of “The Avengers”. As one of the most hyped movies in history, you can expect the theaters to be packed on May 4.
“The Avengers” is basically the combination of four superheroes into one movie. The Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor are all characters that had movies before “The Avengers”. The basic plot of “The Avengers” is that an organization of the government puts together a squad of super humans to halt the destruction of the universe, which are all common aspects of any action film.
Based on the idea that the four movies were all made to lead up to this movie, I feel like this film will be over anticipated and will disappoint a lot of people. I guarantee that “The Avengers” will be the same action movie you have seen a million times, although it will be slightly entertaining.
Most of the cast from the previous films has remained the same with the exception of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and also with the addition of Jeremy Renner who should play another solid performance after his recent roles in “The Town” and “The Hurt Locker”.
“The Avengers” will be a basic action movie that you have already seen, but with the addition of a good cast, as well as the hype of it all and it 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes it is definitely worth checking out.
