What to Watch: ‘The Bachelor’

By Madison Waldie Posted February 3, 2011

Every year “The Bachelor” begins with a group of twenty-five women who have hopes of becoming engaged to the particular man, who happens to be a returning bachelor, Brad Womak, this year. Week after week, women are eliminated after different dates and activities throughout the previous seven days. When a woman is given a rose, the red flower symbolizes a promise and guarantee that she will remain in the house for another week.

Even though it appears that the women are having a great time and getting to experience life-changing events every week, there is a lot of drama and trouble between the ladies as well. Catfights and rumors are among the entertaining events in the household.

After months in the house, a final two women are selected and are hopeful of receiving a proposal. This show is truly an entertaining shot at love for many people if they can handle all of the setbacks and be patient for a rose.

“If you enjoy the fragrance of a rose, you must accept the thorns which it bears.”
