Why “Glee” is simply delightful

Eighteen episodes into its first season, “Glee” has yet to put forth a disappointing performance. The directors have kept the cast fresh with guest stars like Olivia Newton John, Molly Shannon, and Neil Patrick Harris. Each week the cast performs hit songs such as “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, “Dream On”, and “Take a Bow” however, they never fail to put their own spin on it.

Although the main stars of the series are somewhat unheard of, their expert singing ability carries the show. By far the most entertaining aspect is the witty quips by Cheerios coach Sue Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch. With her weekly tirade on the elves living in Will Schuester’s hair and her crazy ideas presented every episode, such as being allowed to cane children, Lynch is providing steady comic relief.

With a mere four episodes left in the season, make sure you turn in Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. on Fox.
