Sophomore Will Thacker was selected as the Athlete of the Week.
“Will is a hard working guy,” said boys JV basketball coach Don Walton.
“Will is a hard-working guy he kind of exemplifies what you want in a player he’s got a lot of heart, he plays hard, practices hard, and recognizes what the other team is doing on the court,” said Walton.
Thacker shows constant leadership and dedication to his team. The way he conducts himself and pumps up his team is incredible, he is the kind of guy other people can talk to without getting negative vibes said Walton.
Walton said that Thacker has improved tremendously especially defensively.
“He always seems to be the guy who makes a stop when you need him to,” said Walton. Thacker also has improved mentally as well.
“Will is not a big scorer he doesn’t lead the team in points but he leads the team,” said Walton.
