AirPods are the best Apple drop since the iPhone itself. Apple AirPods were first released back in September 2016. Since the release, Apple has not released a newer, better pair yet. AirPods are just like the earbuds that come in the box with every new iPhone, except AirPods are wireless and $159, which seems a bit steep but is totally worth it.
AirPods are truly wireless headphones, which means you don’t have the hassle of trying to avoid hitting the wire as you do with wired headphones. This eliminates the hassle of having a large case and wanting to listen to music, but don’t have your adapter. They connect to your phone using Bluetooth, even Samsung owners can use them.
For the $159 you get two AirPods, a charging case, and a charging cord. On Monday, March 18, 2019, Apple released a new and improved wireless charging case for the AirPods. The new case costs $79.99 for just the case or $199.00 for the case and a pair of AirPods. The original case takes about 30 minutes to completely charge the AirPods, but the new case is rumored to charge them in 15 minutes.
Apple AirPods became very popular quickly. In 2017 an estimated 16 million AirPods were sold, and in 2018 an estimated 28 million were sold. Apple has already made a lot of money off of AirPods and they hope to keep making more.
They have a lot of great qualities. AirPods have good sound quality and are very comfortable to wear. Once connected, they are easy to access. Each time you take them out of the case, they will automatically connect to your phone.
Apple has rumored a second version of the AirPods to be released later this year, but there is no concrete evidence that this will happen. Apple also rumored that coming with the new AirPods could be new colors.
