This week’s Student-Athlete of the Week is Kelvin Meza. Meza is a great athlete and just all around good guy. He is one of the top sprinters on the team and this is his last year competing for Lowry because he is a senior. Meza does the 400m, 4×1 relay, 4×2 relay, and the 4×4 relay and does exceptional in each one.
“Kelvin is a great runner, and always helps others,” said coach Kristee Brinkerhoff, “If you see him run, most of the time he has a smile on his face.”
Meza hasn’t been able to go to some of the most recent track meets because of personal matters. However this week he will be able to compete in the zone track meet in Fernley.
As the track season starts to end, Meza works hard to possibly be able to make it to state on May 15.
