After having a full week of games varsity baseball coach Ron Espinola has chosen Anthony Silva as Student-Athlete of the Week.
Varsity baseball played six games this past week including a three-game series makeup against Fernley due to bad weather and finished off the season as they dropped three games to Spring Creek.
Silva was chosen because he pitched 11 innings giving up nine hits and only two earned runs throughout the week in three separate appearances.
“He played exceptionally well. He pitched well and had a solid series at the plate against Spring Creek,” said Espinola.
Varsity baseball has concluded its season and will return to the field next spring.
