Go big or go home? Since Lowry was already home they went big and they sent Dayton home. Lowry’s season has been off to a rough start with four losses, but they didn’t disappoint the excited fans last weekend.

“The game went perfect, everyone played with a lot of heart,” said Jacob Hernandez.

One thing that did disappoint was the lack of hearing the cannon every time Lowry scored a touchdown, but with how Lowry was playing it would have gone off a lot.

“The game went well. We came out on top, played like a team, and got our first win of the season; couldn’t ask for more,” said Bryan Ramos.

In the first quarter, Lowry scored 14 points while keeping Dayton at 0. They went into the second quarter, scored seven more points and the defense kept working hard. This made the score 21-0 at halftime. In the third quarter they scored seven more points and 12 in the fourth; finishing the game 40-0.

“Some weak points the team had were they slowed down, but a strong point is that when they were slowing down our coaches told us what we needed to do to pick it up and everyone executed and played with a lot of heart,” said Hernandez.

The Buckaroos are currently 1-4 The rest of the season holds more good games: Elko, Sparks, Spring Creek, and Fallon.

“The expectations for the rest of the season are to play like we did, get better every week, put in the work, and get some more W’s,” said Ramos.

Their next game is Friday, October 9 at Elko. Their next home game is October 23 vs Spring Creek at 7 p.m.. The Bucks are looking to continue winning in the games to come.

“My expectations for this season are good, we can compete with any team when everyone plays with the same heart as they did tonight,” said Hernandez.
