The JV boys football played Churchill County for their last home game on October 29.
The Bucks may have lost but they put some points on the board, the final score was 47-28.
“We could always do better, we learned a lot this year and can carry it into next year,” said captain Nate Chapman.
The Bucks had a tough season and played against stronger teams with bigger players. The team struggled with blocking and defense but still continued to work hard every day during practice and every game. Next year they hope to improve on being more aggressive and giving it their all throughout the entire game.
“We need some big boys to join, our defensive and offensive lines are little compared to competitors,” said Chapman.
Next year with many JV boys moving up to the varsity level they plan to have a strong, well-rounded team.
“I will only be a junior next year, but I am hoping to see us go into the playoffs. The class above me has a lot of talent and I am excited to see what the next couple of years bring,” said Lorenzo Mattson.
The Buckaroos plan to win more games next year and make it to the playoffs. The Bucks had great plays and did many great things on the field, but putting them together is what will win games. Football will continue again in the Spring.
