Swim season is diving back in the water soon, and Lowry’s swim team coach, Shelby Ruff, is looking forward to the season and hopes to see the team’s improvement this year.

“I’m really excited this year to see newcomers from freshmen to sophomores, and I can’t wait to see the hard work and dedication our team has practiced so far,” said Ruff.

Ruff also goes on to commemorate last year’s swimmers making a return and hopes to see them swim well this season.

“It’s awesome to see last year’s swimmers make a comeback and bring in all they’ve got to make this season something to look up to,” said Ruff.

Swimmer Nathan Perkinson is very enthusiastic about this year’s swim season as he is raring to go out and swim for the team.

“I’m ready to go out there and swim hard and really enjoy swimming as a whole because it’s my life and I enjoy doing it every day I can with my friends,” said Perkinson.

Evan Jeppsen, a newcomer this year, gives his enthusiasm for why he wanted to swim this year as a rookie.

“I wanted to try something new for a change and really stretch out the sports that I take part in,” said Jeppsen.

Lowry Swim will go to their first swim meet on March 18 at Truckee to take down the competition.
