This week’s Student-Athlete of the Week was chosen by varsity soccer coach Steve Swanson, who selected Adrian Mendoza in his efforts against Churchill County High School.
Mendoza scored three goals against the Greenwave. He is leading his team so far this season with five goals.
Swanson has noted Mendoza’s effort and hard work early in the season.
“His outstanding effort and focus resulted in him scoring 3 goals, a hat trick, against Churchill County last Saturday,” said Swanson.
Mendoza and the rest of the Buckaroos will be back in action at Spring Creek in a face-off against the Spartans on September 21.
