The Lowry JV Boys Soccer team faced the South Tahoe Vikings on October 5, ending in a 4-0 loss.
Coach Ron Espinola talked about some good things he saw in the game.
“We made some adjustments in the second half that helped on offense,” said Espinola. “Attacking has been an issue for us; the players did well to get some shots on goal, although we didn’t put any in the net.”
Espinola also spotlighted a couple of players who have had a good game.
“Several players had solid games. Andrew Cisneros learned how to play midfield, and it could be a good spot for him,” said Espinola. “The Herreras (Tony and Alex) continue to play well and anchor the defense. Celso Ruiz, Brandon Diaz, and Andres Patino have really been improving no matter what position they play.”

Espinola continued, ”Our defense has done really well, especially considering they seem to be constantly under pressure. It is not uncommon for us to give up 15-20 shots. Both our keepers, Angel and Chris, have done well to keep the number of goals down.”
The Lowry JV Boys Soccer team’s next game is at home against the Battle Mountain Vaqueros on October 15.
