The freshman girls’ basketball team has already had an impressive start to their season. Starting off 3-0 overall and 2-0 in league, the future part of the season looks extremely positive for the Lady Bucks.

“Our season has been pretty good,” said Dacotah Aneli. “We have all grown as a team and learned from each other. We have definitely shown a lot of growth since our first game.”

On Tuesday, December 13, the Buckaroos traveled to Spring Creek to face the Spartans and were able to take hold of the lead the entire game. A final score of 32-24 helped to keep the Buckaroos’ winning streak alive.

“Our game against Spring Creek was definitely a struggle at times; the other team had some good strengths over us, but we came out on top with a win and improved a lot,” said Aneli.

As their season continues, the girls are hoping to continue improving.

“My expectation for the rest of the season is basically growing with my team, we definitely all have something we can grow in, and I hope we do great in the end,” said Aneli.
