Last Tuesday, boys from each class suited up in tights and cutoffs to compete in the annual He-Man volleyball games during homecoming week.
The seniors were heavily favored coming into the games, having defeated the class of 2017 last year.
It was juniors versus freshmen, first playing one set to 20. The freshmen were no match for the more experienced juniors, although they did come back later in the set, but it was too late, and the juniors took the game.
The sophomores played the seniors next. They got off to a rough start, hitting serves into the net and lacking communication. It was a battle back and forth, but the sophomores took the game, upsetting the
favored seniors. There seemed to be controversy throughout the game as the head referee, Mr. Austin Mayo, seemed not want to call anything. He may want to stick to teaching math.
It was the sophomores and juniors in the championship. The juniors were dominant throughout the set, and the sophomores were taken out quickly.

All that was left between the juniors and a championship was the teachers.
The teacher’s sloppy serving and passing meant another dominating set for the juniors to take home the championship.
