This season of volleyball had few wins, but the girls still enjoyed this season and are ready for next year.
Sophomore Julia Rivera, when asked how the season went she explained how important it is to just enjoy the game and your teammates.
“The season went good. Not a lot of wins, but we sure did have a lot of laughs and fun together,” said Rivera.
Rivera answered who the most valuable player on the team was by saying how important everyone is to the team.
“It’s a team sport, and we all have different jobs so we are all the most valuable players,” said Rivera.
If she could redo this season, Rivera said she wouldn’t change anything. Although she wished they had won more games, she still had fun.
Junior Hattie Michael admits that the team had a good time despite the low scores.

“I think we all had a lot of fun during the season, and we improved as individuals and as a team,” said Michael.
Junior Stacey Horton acquired good memories with her team on and off the court.
“I would say that my favorite part of the season was how excited everyone got when we came together as a team,” said Horton. “During those types of games, we would jump around and scream when someone made an awesome play and it was such a great thing to be a part of.”
Lack of motivation and communication was a major factor in the results of the games.
“Sometimes when someone made a mistake, they would get down on themselves, and it would affect how they themselves would play, which then would affect how we played as a team,” said Horton. “And communication could have been better at times, but otherwise I think we played pretty well together.”
Michael knew there were some things to work on if the next season were to be more successful.
“Something we could improve on as a team would be that we need to really work in-sync with each other on the court,” said Michael.
