Justin Horton was chosen by coach Clay Sagers. Horton is only a sophomore, and this is his second year on the baseball team.
The coaches are impressed with his performance this season compared to last season.
“Since his arrival from last year, this year he has gotten a lot more pop in his swing and is throwing a lot harder,” said Sagers.
Horton is always giving his all in everything he does and is a good listener.
“He has come a long way, and he’s one that’s always doing what he is told to do,” said Sagers. “He is someone who is always trying to improve.”
Justin enjoys playing anywhere he can, but prefers to pitch.

“My favorite position to play is pitcher because you can control the pace,” said Horton.
Horton goes out of his way to make sure he gets practice in so he can become better.
“I have been working on throwing outside more, batting, and the coaches have been helping me with my stance,” said Horton.
Horton will be pitching Friday, March 29 and 30, at home against Fernley.
