On Saturday, October 13, the freshman girls hosted Elko, and Lowry had a tough fight the entire match against Elko’s overpowering serves.

Outside hitter Peyton Cassinelli had a tough job Saturday. Cassinelli had to make some rough plays and had some great spikes against Elko.

“Some spikes were hard because the girls were tall,” said Peyton Cassinelli.

Lowry had to push through and stay ahead of Elko.

Freshman Lyndsee Dove had a really good game against Elko. Dove made the best possible passes to her teammates.

“It was difficult to pass off Elko’s hard serves,” said Lyndsee Dove.

In the last set, Dove had to make some good passes to get her team back in the set. Kadence Cooney’s impressive serving had an impact on the last set.

In the last set, the Bucks were losing when Dove set Saige Kirchesh up for a big spike. Kirchesh later tied the game with a big hit of her own. Cooney finished off Elko with an ace and put Lowry on top 25-24. Elko returned Cooney’s next serve, but Dove set the ball to Kirchesh for the Bucks’ win.

The Lady Bucks wrap up their season this week when they host Churchill County on Thursday, October 25.
