Lowry Leadership recently went to Elko High School to participate in the regional conference. Many other northern schools attended the conference, including Wells, Battle Mountain, Eureka, Lund, Wendover, and Spring Creek.
“The conference was a lot of fun, and I’m sure almost everyone enjoyed it,” said senior Kylie Hilbish. “The workshops were very well presented, and I loved the motivational speaker. I’m sad that this was my last regionals conference.”
The conference started Monday night with group activities, dinner, and a community service project. The service project was making school supply packs for schools around the community for children who are not fortunate enough to buy new school supplies throughout the year.
The conference continued on Tuesday morning and started out with a motivational speaker. After that, everyone attended team-building workshops that helped build leadership qualities.
