Andy Mendoza has been chosen as Athlete of the Week by his coach Andrew Meyer.
Mendoza has had a phenomenal year and continued his dominance in the state tournament.
“Andy played a couple good rounds of golf in terrible weather (mostly wind) and won a 5th place medal in state,” said Meyer.
Mendoza is a senior this year and will be graduating from Lowry as well as the golf team, he is an outstanding golfer and has a bright future.
“Out of the three golfers that we sent to state, and Andy did the best in the windy and cold conditions,” said Meyer.
Golf season has come to a close with the state championship concluding and next season Lowry’s golf team will surely miss Mendoza.
