Jaden Jimenez played many seasons throughout his time at Lowry. Jimenez participated in football, basketball, and is on the track team this year, as well as many after-school activities and extracurriculars.
Lowry Sports holds and has built memories for students, and that’s exactly what it did for Jimenez.
“What I will miss most about high school sports will be all the memories it has created for me, all the tournaments and games,” said Jimenez. “Running out for a home game, but most of all being able to play with my brother.”
Jimenez spends his time gaining strength and knowledge in basketball, both on and off the season.
“What I do for fun outside of sports is probably play more sports,” said Jimenez. “That goes after the first sentence I play basketball any chance I get, whether picking up games or just going to shoot, I keep playing the sport.”
With Jimenez being a dedicated player, he stands out to his teammates and, most of all, his coaches.
“Jaden is a natural leader,” said Lucas. “He leads by example, not only does Jaden excel in his sports, he’s also dedicated to his academics”.

Jimenez takes his hard work to his teammates and is someone to can rely on.
“He is someone you can rely on to get a job done, and takes pride in his work,” said Lucas. “It has been my privilege to work with him in the classroom as well as the athletic arena, in which he excels at both.”
After high school, Jaden plans to attend Boise State University and study Kinesiology.“My plans for after high school are to attend Boise State University and go into kinesiology and become an athletic trainer or a sports nutritionist,” said Jimenez.
Jimenez works hard and shows his dedication on and off the court and field.
Outside of school and sports, Jimenez likes to spend his time working out and going out with friends.
I also like to go to the gym to work out and on the weekends, I like to go fishing with friends, ride dirt bikes, or even go and play golf,” said Jimenez.
Even with out-of-school activities, Jimenez stays consistent in his sports career.
“Jaden has put together a great 4-year career of sports, all capped off with an exceptional Senior year,” said Lucas. ‘He was a main contributor to our football team, a true leader and captain on the basketball court, and has worked extremely hard in track, ultimately earning an opportunity to compete at the Regional Meet.”
Overall, Jaden’s coaches were surprised by his hard work and dedication to the game.
“I never expected Jaden to play football,” said his football coach, Taua Cabatbat. “Jaden was a little behind as far as knowing the fundamentals of football, but his work ethic and openness to learn and to get better every day were truly amazing to see.”
Jaden made sure to keep his dedication to not only the game but also his teammates.
Jaden was not only a smart, hard-working student-athlete, but he was a caring teammate who wanted to see everybody succeed,” said Cabatbat. “I believe his mindset, attention to detail, and team-first attitude are why he was able to gain the trust of his teammates and also be a big contributor for us on the football field.”
The teammates of Jimenez all loved having him as a captain and a reliable teammate.
Jimenez’s little brother, Byron Jimenez, loved being able to live out the dream of playing with his brother for his first and last year.
“I mean, we grew up fighting, playing a lot, and competing,” said Byron Jimenez. “So just being able to share the court together was pretty special.”
The ups and downs of knowing it was Jimenez’s last year at the high school level meant a lot for his brother to play with him.
“My favorite memory was probably our last game in Dayton, it was really emotional, but it was a pretty competitive game, and we just had fun because we knew it was probably his last game,” said Byron Jimenez.
Jimenez will leave Lowry High School with an incredible lasting memory of his coaches and teachers as he moves on to bigger things.
“Jaden was a blessing for me as a Coach,” said Cabatbat.
