Boys JV soccer: Close isn’t good enough

Boys JV soccer: Close isn’t good enough

The JV boy’s soccer team lost against Sparks 2-0, Saturday at home, despite several second-half chances.

The Bucks made a couple of mistakes early in the first half allowing two goals, but played a good second half and created many chances, nearly getting themselves back into the game.

Center back Kyle Schultz thought the game went well and the team was coming along well. Schultz thinks that if they could get a couple of things down, they’ll be set for the rest of the season.

“I thought we played well, but we need to work on our passing and communication. We also need to show up to our games ready,” said Schultz.

Striker Levi Lloyd had a similar opinion about the game.

“Overall it was a close game. We had a few sloppy plays which led to Sparks scoring. Other than that, we played a great team. Now all we need to work on is finishing goals,” said Lloyd.

Lloyd, Schultz, and the boys will be back on the game pitch Saturday against Fernley, a team they have yet to play this season.
